Kerikeri business loyal to the Northland Rescue Chopper

JSB Construction thinks a lot of the Northland Rescue Choppers, so much so that this family-owned business in 2016 signed on to partner with the Northland Emergency Services Trust as a sponsor for three years.

Says Chuck Lupi, one of the company directors: “We have a few reasons, but mainly because it is such an essential service for Northland, and for Northlanders, and it is heavily reliant on donations such as ours to ensure it keeps going.”

“We as a company carry out a wide range of activities all over Northland from quarrying to civil construction through to Forestry roading in pretty remote areas. This gives us some peace of mind for us and our team knowing the helicopter is there if needed.

“We work in high-risk environments and knowing we have this great service available to our staff, to their families, and everyone else in Northland – it’s great. It saves lives, it really does – and it needs to be supported by us and everyone else too.

“We as a company are fortunate to be in a position to give back to help such a worthwhile cause, and encourage others to do the same.

“We have certain charities that we support and this is one of them. It not only directly benefits our staff but also the wider Northland community. After working with the team at NEST for the last few years we are confident that the money that is donated gets pointed in the right direction.”
