Caring for Northland
Caring for Northland is an annual summer safety day for kids and families from 10am until 1pm in Kensington Park. Watch a person get rescued from a car using the jaws of life, see a demonstration of a winch rescue from a helicopter, experience using the fatal vision goggles the Police use and much more. Learn about safety, and win great prizes! Last year’s giveaways included spot prizes from The Spencer Hotel, Snowplanet, Butterfly Creek, Dive Tutukaka, Regent New World, Whangarei Lions Club, Oxford Sports Trust, Z Energy, Kathmandu Whangarei.
We’d like to encourage everyone to come along on the day and make the event its usual great success. We always enjoy being part of such a fun day. As usual, we will join other emergency services crews like the Blue Light Whangarei, St John Ambulance, the New Zealand Fire Service and the New Zealand Transport Agency.
