Head Injuries from Fall, Northern Advocate, 7th January 2004

A 31 year old Northland woman was flown to Auckland Hospital with serious head injuries after falling off a pushbike yesterday. St John Ambulance district operations manager Donna Austin said the woman was found on the road at State Highway 10, Mangonui, about 10am yesterday after falling from the bike. She had been wearing a helmet.

The woman was believed to have been holidaying at Cable Bay. She was flown by the Northland Electricity rescue helicopter to Whangarei Hospital for stabilising, then on to Auckland in a serious condition.
